Make bold strides in your career through graduate study at TCNJ. Our nursing and public health programs challenge students to develop the advanced skills and knowledge expected of leaders in their professions. A rigorous program integrating academic inquiry, practical experience, and professional collaboration is balanced by consideration for the schedules of working professionals.
Nurse Practitioner MSN Programs
Registered nurses with a BSN who wish to become certified to practice as a nurse practitioner choose from one of three options leading to an MSN: family nurse practitioner, adult/gerontological nurse practitioner, or neonatal nurse practitioner.
Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificates
These certificate programs are designed for nurses with an MSN who wish to become certified as family nurse practitioners or as adult/gerontological nurse practitioners. Options are available for nurses with and without prior certification as a nurse practitioner.
Doctor of Nursing Practice, DNP
Graduates of our MSN program meet essential requirements for most post-master’s DNP programs. Students are encouraged to apply to the program at Rutgers’ School of Nursing, under an articulation agreement between TCNJ and Rutgers.
Public Health, MPH
The Master of Public Health degree requires 45 academic credits (approximately 14 courses, including capstone internship). The program is designed to be completed in two years with full-time study, or four to five years with part-time study of two courses per semester. An MPH degree can also be completed with the 4 + 1 option, in which students with a BS or BA degree in a relevant discipline take additional courses toward MPH prerequisites.
Business Administration and Public Health, MBA/MPH
Our two-year joint MBA/MPH program combines an MBA specializing in business analytics with an MPH focusing on either epidemiology and health analytics or health communication.
